PPL PWR's Board
Anna
Director
Anna holds a BA in Biological Natural Sciences from Homerton College Cambridge, and is doing a PhD in Neuroscience funded by the Wellcome Trust at UCL and is working on a new therapy to restore muscle function in ALS patients. Anna’s passion for sustainability inspired her to enter UCL Sustainability Challenge 2016 which she won with a proposal to create GreenConnect, a network across UCL to facilitate sustainability projects.
Berni
Director
Bernardo is a Chemical Engineer transitioning to International Development at UCL. Eager to promote and include sustainable measures in cities and communities, he implements appropriate technologies that could be most beneficial to the society and environment and he is our administrative facilitator doing all the fun stuff no one else wants to do! Sustainability for him must be inclusive and holistic, encompassing political and physical dimensions to the already existing sustainable dimensions we try to promote.
Josh
Director
Josh graduated from Oxford University in 2011 with a Master’s in Chemistry, with a particular focus on organic chemistry and catalysis. He moved to London in 2014 to embark on a 4-year PhD focusing on fuel cells and got involved with the public engagement group UCell. Josh believes PPL PWR is positive collective that can enable different groups and communities to come together, through talking with the public at festivals, as well as help create a greener ethos in commerce and at home.
Molkie
Director
Molkie has a background in Disruptive Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurism. When not in a festival field, you'll find him on his laptop running his Design business. He believes that sustainability should be a given; not a compromise, and has built PPL PWR to empower the people and push awareness into the public consciousness around renewables and sustainability. As a maker, he has developed a number of PPL PWR demos and converted a van into PPL PWR's Off-Grid Lab
Natacha
Director
Natacha fell in love with PPL PWR in 2018 and has been part of the family ever since. A master graduate from Hult International Business School in both Business Administration and Disruptive Innovation, she is passionate about social entrepreneurship, circular economy, sustainability/green energy and empowering communities to make this world a better place. She strongly believes in empowering citizens notably through education and awareness campaigns, hence her commitment to PPL PWR’s workshops in schools and festivals.
